Supervisor Alejo has been a labor champion since he entered the Supervisor's office in 2017. He has made it a priority to fight for the civil rights of workers and their families. In addition, he hasn't been afraid to take on tough challenges like building clean water infrastructure, housing and homelessness, growing economic development opportunities, environmental and coastal protection, expanding military and veteran's affairs services, and quality access to healthcare. Born and raised in Monterey County, Kate has a deep understanding of our unique challenges and has an extraordinary record of service. As a County Planning Commissioner, a Policy Advisor to State Senator John Laird, former Chief of Staff to Supervisor Adams, and nonprofit leader, Kate has made a significant difference on our region's biggest issues. When meeting with Kate, she agreed that when she's elected, it will be imperative for us to have regular meetings to collaboratively resolve issues, enhance the working conditions for our members in the County, and best serve our communities. We support Kate's run and look forward to working with her in the future!
