I am humbled and honored to serve on the CEMA Executive board as your Vice President.

I am currently a Business Systems Analyst with TSS Financial and Employee Systems Division assigned at Finance Agency (Department of Tax and Collections). Although I’ve only been a CEMA member since 2016, I’ve been active with SEIU Local 521 as a Union, dues-paying, member since starting at DTAC in 1995 and as a shop steward (and Assistant Chief Steward) for several years. I’ve been an active member of various committees at DTAC, chairing several of them. I currently serve on the board of my Home Owner’s Association where I was appointed to assist them in 2015, and then elected later that year, re-elected in 2016 and 2017 and again this year (terms are one year). I’ve also served on the board of San Jose Musical Theatre (2015 and 2016), as well as at my previous HOA, where I was elected to the Board in 2007, re-elected in 2009, 2011 and 2013 (two-year terms).

I believe in the strength and power of the Union, as well as our ultimate goal of serving the public as public employees. I appreciate all the hard work that everyone has done and the passion they bring to help represent the members. It is my hope that I will be a positive addition to help unify the Executive Board so that we may actually go forward on the much-needed work that needs to be done.
