Santos Quintero joins CEMA after an established career serving working people throughout Central and Northern California. He began his career as a labor organizer with the United Farm Workers in the Salinas Valley, where he organized and represented farm workers in negotiations with some of the state's largest and most powerful agricultural employers. His dedication and leadership led him to serve as Regional Director for Central and Northern California.

Over the past 14 years, Santos has continued his commitment to the labor movement as a Labor Representative and Contract Negotiator with SEIU Local 1021 and the California Nurses Association (CNA). Throughout his career, he has represented a wide range of bargaining units across multiple industries, including city and county government, nonprofit organizations, and healthcare facilities. He has successfully advocated for workers at the bargaining table, helping members secure fair contracts, improved working conditions, and a stronger voice in their workplaces.

Santos earned his Bachelor of Arts in World Culture and Languages, with a minor in Chicano Studies, from California State University, Monterey Bay. While attending CSUMB, he worked with the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), helping increase college access and success for students from migrant backgrounds. He also served in leadership roles within several student organizations dedicated to expanding educational opportunities and empowering low-income and underrepresented students.

Throughout his career, Santos has remained committed to the principles of solidarity, social justice, equity, and service to the community. He is proud to continue that work at CEMA by supporting members, strengthening their voices, and advocating for fair and respectful working conditions and treatment.
