CEMA and the Court signed the final 2024-2026 CEMA MOU.

CEMA began its negotiations with the Court on July 17, 2024. The Court presented comprehensive proposals. CEMA presented comprehensive proposals.

The Court presented comprehensive proposals to CEMA that sought to:

  • offer clerical changes across the contract
  • offer a 2-year contract
  • modify probationary period language to reflect a letter of understanding from February 2020
  • give a 3-day notice to CEMA-represented employees of the Court's intent to fill CEMA-represented vacancies
  • provide a general wage increase for each year of the contract
  • place the provision that would reopen the contract to address in abeyance for the term of the contract
  • increase the contribution to the Retiree Health Benefit Program
  • add professional memberships as reimbursable under the Educational Reimbursement Program
  • offer VRWH for the term of the contract
  • make the Telework Side Letter and Primarily Remote Pilot Project Side Letter to remain in effect concurrently with the MOA, with edits
  • create a Service Recognition Award that memorializes the Court’s current Service Awards
  • increase Scheduled Time Off cash out limit
  • notice CEMA when a CEMA-represented employee is placed on Paid Administrative Leave (PAL) and clarify that employees will continue to accrue paid time off when on PAL
  • allow extension of Parental Leave
  • update the list of paid holidays
  • add 8 hours to Management Leave for CEMA-represented employees with at least 15 years of service
